About our Earth Day Celebration

With 250 acres of ornate gardens, scenic landscape, and stunning green spaces, Lakewood is a treasured and unique green space in the heart of Minneapolis. We take pride in creating a quiet space to connect with nature, that is open to the public all year round, which is why we are excited to be back outside celebrating Earth Day!
Join us on Sunday, April 25th from 10am - 2pm at the tent across from the Memorial Chapel:
Sign up for our newsletter or participate in our onsite activities to pick up a free perennial to plant in your garden
Put a ribbon the Living Memory Tree
Pick up a self-guided tour and explore the grounds
Learn more about our Memorial Tree program
And other (socially-distanced) activities to be announced!
This event is open to all – families, community, neighbors. We hope to see you there!
Greenhouse Tours
Traditionally we have offered Greenhouse tours for Earth Day, however due to the small walking paths in the greenhouse and the current restrictions on indoor events we will not be offering tours this year.
We look forward to returning to these tours next year, but in the meantime feel free to watch this video that talks more about our greenhouse.
