Thank you to everyone who attended this event!
We live in a death-avoidant culture. But could it be that accepting the certain fact of our death — and actually befriending it — can bring us closer to what’s most important in life?

Experience an ancient Eastern meditative practice that connects us to our own mortality while renewing our appreciation for this one precious life — in one of the most beautiful spaces in our city, the Lakewood Memorial Chapel.
This guided meditation will offer the opportunity to imagine a transition that awaits us all — revealing the most commonplace, miraculous and mysterious facts of existence. And giving us fresh perspective on what we truly cherish and value. Your guide, Christin Ament, is a palliative care and hospice provider who has led meditations on death around the globe. She has studied with teachers from many wisdom traditions and brings a deeply grounded presence to this powerful practice.
