Thank you to everyone who attended this special event!

Join us for a very special performance by men's vocal ensemble Cantus in the intimate Lakewood Memorial Chapel! Tickets are $30 in advance ($40 at the door) and are available for two performances on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Acclaimed as “the premier men’s vocal ensemble in the United States” (Fanfare), Cantus engages audiences in a meaningful music experience. Founded on the ideals of collaborative music-making, the ensemble works together to reach new levels of artistic excellence, innovation and audience engagement. Their vision is to give voice to shared human experiences.

Seating is general admission. Doors open a half-hour before each show. While there, explore the art and symbolism of the Chapel with a free self-guided tour brochure.

The Lakewood Chapel — one of our city’s most beloved architectural treasures — is an intimate setting that seats about 160 people. Because of its incredible beauty and historical significance, it is a popular place for end-of-life services, weddings, music concerts and other celebrations of beauty, art and remembrance. About the Lakewood Chapel

Dedicated in 1910, the Lakewood Memorial Chapel was modeled after the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul by prominent Minneapolis architect Harry Wild Jones. Its 10-million piece mosaic interior, created by New York designer Charles Lamb, features a 40-foot high dome ringed with stained glass windows and 12 mosaic angels. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Chapel is one of the finest examples of Byzantine mosaic architecture in the country.
