Summer evenings are a wonderful time to stroll through Lakewood and take in its beautiful gardens, spacious grounds and long vistas — all while learning a bit of local history!
On the Lakewood Founders walking tour, you'll learn about early Minneapolis leaders who helped build not only the city itself but the city’s grand cemetery—Lakewood. This tour features Minneapolis’ first mayor Dorilus Morrison, Senator and businessman William D. Washburn, Park Board president Charles Loring and many more.
