Thank you to everyone who attended this event!

Join us for a Latin American Music in the Chapel experience, featuring award-winning guitarist, Tony Hauser.

Strongly rooted in the classical tradition, Tony Hauser performs Spanish Flamenco, Latin American, ethnic and new music from composers such as Manuel M. Ponce, Antonio Lauro and Isaac Albeniz, as well as his own compositions. His performances have been broadcast on National Public Radio and he has played locally at the Guthrie Theatre, Walker Art Center, MN Sinfonia, Mill City Opera and more.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Seating is general admission.

Doors open early at 2 p.m. so you can take a self-guided tour of the Lakewood Chapel before the show (free tour brochures will be available).

The Lakewood Chapel — one of our city’s most beloved architectural treasures — is an intimate setting that seats about 160 people.

Because of its incredible beauty and historical significance, it is a popular place for weddings, end-of-life services, music concerts, tours and other celebrations of beauty, art and remembrance.

About the Lakewood Chapel

Dedicated in 1910, the Lakewood Memorial Chapel was modeled after the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul by prominent Minneapolis architect Harry Wild Jones. Its 10-million piece mosaic interior, created by New York designer Charles Lamb, features a 40-foot high dome ringed with stained glass windows and 12 mosaic angels. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Chapel is one of the finest examples of Byzantine mosaic architecture in the country.
