December 1 and 2, 2018

Thank you to everyone who attended this event!

Lakewood’s “Music in the Chapel” concerts showcase a variety of artists in one of our city’s most beloved architectural treasures — the Lakewood Memorial Chapel.

This December, we are excited to welcome gospel singer Robert Robinson!

Once named "Minnesota's Master Male Vocalist" by the Star Tribune, Robert Robinson is one of the Twin Cities' favorite artists. He is the founder of the Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir and served as the organization's executive and artistic director for nearly 20 years. He has produced a number of albums and performs regularly at many churches, music clubs and venues.

Tickets are $30 in advance; $35 at the door. Seating is general admission. Doors open 30 minutes before each show. Self-guided tour brochures of Lakewood’s Memorial Chapel will also be available.

About the Chapel

Dedicated in 1910, the Lakewood Memorial Chapel was modeled after the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul by prominent Minneapolis architect Harry Wild Jones. Its 10-million piece mosaic interior, created by New York designer Charles Lamb, features a 40-foot high dome ringed with stained glass windows and 12 mosaic angels. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Chapel is one of the finest examples of Byzantine mosaic architecture in the country.
